- STAD approach is part of a cooperative learning pioneered by Slavin. In research with STAD approach to math class VIII Mojokerto SMP Negeri 6 Spare Algebra factorization subject aims to: (1) understand students' learning activities (2) find out students' creativity and (3) know the students' learning achievement. Kind research used is descriptive qualitative research and is packaged in a Classroom Action Research. Subjects were students VIIIC class with a total of 24 students in Junior High School in Mojokerto. The data obtained through observations made by observers during the learning activities take place to determine student activities, tests the ability to think to know the level of student creativity, and learning test results after the implementation of STAD approach to determine academic achievement. The results showed that the activity of students has increased. From the observations made can be said that activity has increased with the percentage of students who originally 69.79% to 87.15% and the final result showed active criteria. Creativity student views of divergent thinking ability tests, the first test has a percentage of 56.48% and the second test increased by 16.55%. Student learning outcomes by implementing STAD approach has a number of classical at 83.33% with the criteria completely. Keywords: cooperative learning, STAD, Activity, Creativity
