  • The purpose this research is 1) to find out the prediction financial distress on food and beverage company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. And 2) To find out which variables are dominant financial ratios to predict financial distress of the food and beverage company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This type of research used in this research is an empirical research (Empirical Research) is a research carried out by the facts or the evidence of research where the results of research carried out can be accounted. The data analysis technique that uses discriminant analysis. The population in this research is the entire food and beverage sector companies that have been and continue to be listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2008 to 2012 as many as 18 companies. From the research and discussion that has been done on the prediction of financial distress in the food and beverage company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, it can be concluded that the net working capital to total assets (WCTA), Total Liabilities to Total Assets (TLTA), Return on assets (ROA), debt-to-equity ratio (DER) is a variable that can be used to differentiate a company that is not experiencing financial distress and are experiencing financial distress. Debt To Equity Ratio (DER) is the dominant variable for predicting financial distress in the food and beverage company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
