- The purpose of the study to describe the work motivation, work ability, and performance of employees as well as the influence of work motivation and ability to work on the performance and the most influential keammpuan between work motivation and work on employee performance. Analytical tool in this study is multiple linear regression. The respondents were employees of Hotel Pelangi 1 Malang. The sampling technique used was purposive cluster sampling, a sample of 52. The results showed that employee motivation which will boost the physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs in high criteria. Capabilities include employee knowledge and skills in high criteria. Employees performance in high criteria. The results obtained from multiple linear regression Y = -3.068 + 0.593 X1 + 0.318 X2 + e. Work motivation and ability to work a significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation is more significant effect on the performance of employees.
