- Research objectives are: 1) to describe the motivation and performance of employees. 2) Describe the level of capability and performance of employees. 3) Analyze the effects of motivation and the ability to employee performance in Selecta Batu Hotel. 4) variables that affect the motivation or ability is stronger on employee performance. Analysis tools used in the study is the analysis of a range of scales and multiple linear regression. Respondents in the study of permanent employees Selecta Batu Hotel which is at the FO (Front Office) Department, House Keeping Department, and the Department of Food & Bavarage. Based on the results of research and discussion it can be concluded that the motivation of employees in the high category, the ability of employees in the high category, the performance of the employees included in the high category. Motivation and the ability to significantly influence employee performance. The most powerful motivational influence on the performance of employees of the ability. The suggestions are expected to always seek the hotel with the welfare of employees. The management should strive to develop the potential of employees and pay attention to employees' motivation and ability so that when employees have a high incentive to work and ultimately guarantees to maximize the work can be realized.
