  • Production line balance in a company is a major factor in production process, effected in machine usage, tools, and workforce effectiveness. The imbalance production line would wasting time (waiting, jobless) in several work station and high work-rate in another work station. Inefficient Production resource allocating (workforce, machine, tools), caused the imbalance of production line. It happened in CV. Boang Shuttlecocks. CV. Boang Shuttlecock, Singosari is one of home industry in shuttlecock making. To overcome the problem faced by CV. Boang, there needed re-planning in existing production resource. In this line balance planning, there used Ranked Positional Weight (RPW) method which would be simulated by ARENA software. From all planning with RPW method, plan I is the most fit for the company. Plan I resulted line balance 92.403% and daily output 5.403 shuttlecocks/day, so that the line balance increasing 83,89%, and daily output increased 72.92% from the early position. While from simulation with ARENA software, line balance plan I could minimize waiting time until 27,41%.
