- Diabetes Mellitus (DM) be aglebal problem due to the increasing incidence of patient seach year. DM is achronic disease that has a negative impaction the physic a land psychological effect such a sanxiety. The design used in this study is a qualitative research case study approach. The number of participants in this research were two people, the first patient and the patient's husband in Malang. The research data is taken using the interview process, the data collected after researchers conducted the interview transcripts and then the data were analyzed by using domain analysis. From the results, threethemes consisting of 7 sub-themes, namely : (1) the cause of an xiety with the sub-theme : health conditions that never healed, the diet should be regulated (2) Efforts to reducean xiety with the sub-theme : spiritual activity, increasing social activity, activity to divertan xiety / distraction (3) the impact of anxiety which consists of sub-themes : the impaction the physical (difficulty sleeping), psychological impact (lack of motivation). Based on the results of this research will not only focus on the health center patients physical but also the psychological approach is necessary when performing maintenance. In addition, monitoring should be done on aregular basis or a home visit toprovide information about the importance of regular control.
