- Indonesia is a fourth country most cases insidency with lung tuberculosis (TB) in the world. This is kind of infectious disease caused by TB microbe (mycobacterium tuberculosis). Transmision of lung tb is tb patient has BTA positive it self, the transmission way is by the air (droplet nuclei). So the transmission of Tuberculosis (TB) on the family has the big possibility, especially the families in the home.This research uses qualitative design and approaching case study research with,the purpose is to explain about the family effort to prevent the transmission in a family member treatment with lung TB.The participant is a family where on of the family member has lung TB around 3 months.The collecting data on july 2014 by semi structured interview, direct observation and documentary study, the data analysed by domain analysis.The result is contained by 3 themes and 7 sub themes, they are : (1) Modification of environment with modification the ventilation and keep the hygiene as sub theme. (2) The effort of cut the disease transmission down with throw the sputum, using face mask and cover up on the coughing as the sub themes. (3) The medicine consume and regularly check up to puskesmas with the families monitoring to take the medicine, and also regularly check up to puskesmas as the sub themes.Based on the result, the hoping puskesmas can improve and modification the prevention program of tuberculosis (TB).The other side, need the periodic monitoring or the regularly visiting house to monitoring the treatment and prevention of lung tb transmission that do the family at home.
