Hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic diseasedue to excessive blood insistence and almost constantin thearteries. To solve and prevent these problems required the family's role in the supervision of dietin family member swith hypertension. This study aim ed towant to explore the role of the family in the control diet in family members with hypertension in Pukesmas Kedung Kandang. This research design nusing a case study method.The method use disqualitative approach with case study research approach. Samples were taken 3 participants, the family and neighbors of patients with hypertension who were treated at the health center Kedung Kandang on September 15,2014. From the results obtained three themes, namely: 1) Knowledge of family history of hypertension either. 2) Monitoring compliance by the family dietis not good. 3) Monitoring medication ad herence by poor families. The research data was taken using interview method. The results show the role of the family in the supervision of diet on hypertension is less well in keeping the diet.
