Mental disorder is a disease caused due to clutter the mind, perception and behavior in which individuals are not able to adjust with self, others, society and the environment. This study aims to determine how family experiences with family members who are mentally handicapped one isolation, Kedungkandang health centers in the region. This research design using a case study method. The sampling method is a qualitative approach to the research strategy of case study research. Samples were taken only 1 respondent ie family social isolation of people with mental disorders. The research data was taken using interviews. The data were analyzed using domain analysis method. Furthermore, generating what function or role of the family in caring for its members, namely physical and spiritual fulfillment. Results of the study: The results of this study states that of the family's experience in caring for potentially severe consequences for family members, the community, or the environment. One of them is the psychological impact such as families become stressed, confused, angry, anxious, helpless, blaming each other, which is often referred to as the shy subjective burden of the family.
