- Low birth weight infants is a perinatal disorders. Low birth weight infants is one of cause death baby in Indonesia and can cause any serious complication. Intervention to resolves this problem is using kangaroo method to see low birth infants behavioral development and reduction infants mortality. Research design use qualitative approach by the case study method of purposive sampling. The research subject in this study case is baby N with birth weight less than 2500 gram and Mrs. S in the Perinatology room Wava Husada Hospital, Kepanjen on July 2014. The collecting data method is unstructure, observation and documentation. The data analysis used is analysis domain. The research result represent low birth weight infants by kangaroo method has increase and behavioral development including habituation, orientation, motoric activity and also reflex. Kangaroo method that done by researchers has benefits to incrase behavioral development of low birth weight infants.
