Patient with Cardiovascular disease indirectly influenced to their life quality alteration, but it started by the appearance of functional limitation that refers to the physical, social, role function, and mental function limitation as the effect from one of cardiovascular disease. Self-Care ability from the experience of suffering this disease then will be impact to the life style alteration and directly influence life quality of the patient itself. Self-Care Assistance becomes an important part in the treatment of patient with Cardiovascular disease. It is conducted to make patient can recognize symptom alteration (for example, asphyxia, chest pain, or edem).
Research Aim: Identifying self-care assistance to the patient with cardiovascular disease, identifying life quality to the patient with cardiovascular disease, and analyzing the relationship between self-care assistance with life quality to the patient with Cardiovascular disease in the Inpatient Installation of RSUD (Regional Hospital) “Kanjuruhan” Kepanjen Malang Regency.
Method: Research design that used in this research is descriptive analytic design with study cross sectional approach. Sampling technique uses purposive sampling with research sample of 40 patients in the Inpatient Installation of RSUD (Regional Hospital) “Kanjuruhan” Kepanjen Malang Regency. Data analysis in this research uses chi square test with error degree (α) 5%.
Result: From chi square test, it is obtained that X2 calculation is 8.64 and X2 table is 3.841, thus X2 calculation > X2 table for error degree (α) 5%. Therefore, H1 accepted, which is self-care assistance related to the life quality for patient with Cardiovascular disease in the Inpatient Installation RSUD (Regional Hospital) “Kanjuruhan” Kepanjen Malang.
