- Intensive Care unit is a special room in the hospital it has function for critically patient. Many death incidence happen here. So anxiety is one of worry time that if the bad thing will gone be happen and commonly connecting anticipation of a treat. The problem is usually about anxiety of the patient here. To solve and prevent the problem need the nurse and family support. This research design is qualitative approaching by study case method. This sampling method is purposive sampling. The participants are a patient and a family are having treat in ICU room Wava Husada Hospital on July 19th 2014. This research data was taken by interview, observation, and documentation and analyzing by research domain. This research result contain of describe of patient anxiety in ICU unit are low level of anxiety, patient respond who can not be quite, cognitive patient able to get stimulation. Describe of family anxiety are individual coping, behavior respond, often to asking patient condition. Patient anxiety causes of condition or prognosis. Family anxiety causes of financial burden, and recurrence of disease. The resolve anxiety effort to the patient and family is tawakkal. Based on the research, is very important for family and nurses to understanding patient in ICU room. With the research result expected the nurses will going easy and to know patient anxiety in ICU room to giving the better service.
