- Determination of the drug to the patient , including physicians authority , but the nurses are required to take responsibility for medication management . Start of ordering medication on the advice of the doctor , storing and dispensing medications , to deliver medication to the patient . Ensure that the drug is safe for patients and supervise the side effects of drug administration , based on the application of the principle of Double Check Five True The purpose of this study was to identify the description of the implementation of Five True Double check before giving medication to prevent errors in patients in rooms D Inpatient Hospital Wava Husada Kepanjen District of Malang. This type of research is descriptive research with a case study approach . Subjects in this study were all nurses who served in rooms D Inpatient Hospital Wava Husada Kepanjen District of Malang Regency and samples were taken by purposive sampling as many as 21 people . The results found that : most of the 16 ( 76 % ) of nurses in the room DInpatientHospital Wava Husada Kepanjen District of Malang Regency , has implemented a Five True Double check precisely and 5 ( 24 % ) of nurses who have not been fully implemented correctly . For nurses who have not implemented Five True Double check precisely , each only do jump in on the action . Double check imperfect stages Properly conducted five nurses in a number of areas DInpatientHospital Wava Husada Kepanjen District of Malang Regency , is to ( human error ) . However , in general they have implemented the Five True Double check properly .
