Data collection techniques used in this study is in-depth interviews, and use of data triangulation techniques for reviewing the data so that the data obtained can be valid. Samples using three respondents, the family of people with diabetes mellitus in Kedungkandang health center, on July and August 2014. Analyzed using domain analysis techniques.&#xD; The results of this study show how a very diverse families experiences, such as knowledge of families, the family effort to regulate the diet, in referring to the health authority and the efforts of alternative families believed could improve the health status of the patient, like walking on pebbles and families reactions to patient physiological changes such as anxiety and bring the patient to the health service.
