  • BPH (Benign Prostate Hyperplasia) is a disorder that is often found in prostate gland. More common after the age of 50 years and is associated with a benign prostate enlargement (Schwartz, 2000). Patients with mild symptoms, or an enlarged prostate does not cause symptoms, treatment is to wait as he observed. Men with urinary retention, recurrent infections, bladder stones, or kidney isufisiensi should be treated surgically. For surgical patients with prostatismus real, as he observed therapy is waiting, medical therapy, and surgery should be given as a therapeutic option. This study aims to determine the factors that affect postoperative wound healing process bph. The study design used was descriptive, subjects performed on the 53-year-old patient with postoperative bph. Data collection techniques used were interviews, anamnesis, physical assessment, observation, documentation studies, and literature. Data analysis used the pattern maching. From the research that the septic aseptic wound care is necessary to accelerate the wound healing process and determine the factors that affect the wound healing process (patient age, hemorrhage, nutritional deficits and dressing technique) is very effective to enhance the wound healing process.
