- Diabeticum ulcer is one of the chronic complications of diabetes mellitus. Diabetic wounds needs continous nursing intervention, therefore healing process can effectively achieved. There are some solutions used to care diabetic wound such as metronidazole. This study aims to compare effectiveness of metronidazole to diabetic, wound healing which includes its wound conditions, odor, secretions, and granulation growth. This study used qualitative research methods are case study research. This case study research, the population is replaced with the term respondents or participants. Respondents was patient cared in Diponegoro region general hospital Kanjuruhan Kepanjen. This study recruited two people as respondent, were give metronidazole compress on their wound management. This study, the benefits effectiveness of metronidazole compresses can be used solution in the wound healing process of diabetic. Of study results that giving metronidazole compress ineffective in wound healing process of diabetic, primarily in granulation growth process has not change is significantly, if seen than odor and increase secretion of good results indicators.
