- Nephrotic syndrome is a clinical condition caused by damage to the glomerulus. Increased glomerular permeability to plasma proteins lead to proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, hyperlipidemia, and edema (Bezt, 2009). Incidence of nephrotic syndrome is 2 cases per 100,000 children (Hull, 2009) and the highest incidence occurred at age 6-8 years (Baradero, 2008). While based on the data obtained in the 7 B Room RSU dr. Saiful Anwar Malang, the number of children with nephrotic syndrome who are hospitalized reached 10-20 children each month. The method used in this case study is a case study design is a study design that includes an assessment of the unit of intensive research. From the case study carried out on child F with nephrotic syndrome with fluid regulation intervention showed that for five consecutive days on child F imposed restrictions on liquids, which is only allowed to take fluids by mouth is 1000cc with no additional intravenous fluids. And for the balance of fluids that have been monitored for four consecutive days in chlid F the result is still negative. This can be caused either because the use of furosemide. Data analysis methods used in this case study is the technique of matching analysis (pattern matching), the comparison between patterns obtained empirically with the pattern predicted theoretically (das solen and das sein approach). In patients with nephrotic syndrome nursing intervention should be fluid settings, this is because in patients with nephrotic syndrome have impaired balance of fluid volume. In addition to setting the liquid to achieve a balance of body fluids are also conducted collaborative action for the provision of diuretic therapy (furosemide). It also must be health education to families about care for clients at home.
