- Many people are not familiar with the area of Batu Town, especially from the tourism sector. Publication and promotion of tourist information currently available is still limited by the print media (newspaper, banners, and billboard),television media, and websites. It takes a media campaign to raise revenue from the Batu town area of the tourism sector, for example through mobile information media that can be taken anywhere making it easier for tourist who will visit the Batu town. Based on these reasons, the authors make an application guides with GPS to determine location of the position. Making this application using the eclipse IDE for java developers indigo as a development tool and ADT plugin for eclipse as a liasion between the eclipse IDE with Android application android-based tour guide was used to facilitate the tourist looking for information on tourism in the town of Batu.
