- Cognitive is an ability of thinks and give rational belong process of remembers, evaluate, orientation, perception and defend it (Stuard and Sunndeen l987) cognitive disturbance in somebody will be influence in ability of think for somebody. So that cognitive response is difference for every body. The existence of cognitive damage it marked with derivation of general intelligence, learn and memory, language, ability to solve problem, perception orientation, attention, concentration, and social ability besides also will be influenced personality. The objective of this research is to detect about magnitude of cognitive damage and derivation of intellectual function of advanced age. Sample number is 83 people consist of 56 women and 27 men. This research is descriptive research with method of MMSE and SPMSQ it done on July. Taking sample done according to technique of purposive sampling. From analysis result is found that cognitive damage level at medium of cognitive damage as much as 59 % and serious of cognitive damage as much as 28,91 %. With derivation of intellectual function as much as 53%, derivation of serious intellectual function is 1,2%, minor in derivation of intellectual function is 13,25%. From data above we can found that cognitive damage level higher than derivation of intellectual function. With observe this research result, so there are some suggestions that want to be submitted by researcher that is for health operator socialized to give more pay attention about cognitive of ability level and derivation of intellectual to advanced age at society.
