  • SADARI is a breast examination by herself regularly every month after menstruation. In adolescence were processes of physical and biological changes in the further development is under the control of specific hormones. In women, these hormones are responsible for beginning the process of ovulation and menstruation, as well as breast growth. In this period young women should begin to notice changes in her, as well as her breast and healthy. The purpose of this research were: (1) Identify the knowledge level of young women about understanding, purpose, when the time to do SADARI, (2) Identify the knowledge level of young women on how to do SADARI, (3) Identify the knowledge level of young women about the changes which occurs in the breast. This research use descriptive research. Grade student population of all third class are 142 people, with using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire, then analysed. From the analysis results showed that (1) Knowledge about young women of understanding, purpose, and time to do SADARI in good categories 11.43%, in enough category 31.43%, and in less category 57.14%, (2) Knowledge about how young women to do SADARI in enough category 39.05%, and in less category 60.95%, (3) The young women knowledge about the result of SADARI in enough category 7.62%, and in less category 92,38%. This is because most students have never read, hear and receive counseling about SADARI. More students are expected to increase knowledge about SADARI, by reading healthy books. The purpose of SADARI is to detect early if there are abnormalities in the breast.
