- Most industrial waste is harmful, as pointed out by one of the residents in the industrial centers of tempe sanan unfortunate that the waste disposal often produce an unpleasant smell and some of the waste discharged into the river so that it can pollute the river water. This study aims to determine how solid waste treatment in industrial centers sanan poor. Descriptive study conducted to determine the processing of solid waste in the industrial district tempe tempe sanan poor. This research is a descriptive type of solid waste processing variables tempeh. The samples are all entrepreneurs in the industrial district tempe tempe sanan poor by 64 industries. Sampling technique used is total sampling. From the results, the data that the processing of solid waste in the industrial district based on the poor sanan tempeh tempeh-making stage. At this stage of seed coat removal of dirt and solid waste generated from 64 respondents of 41 respondents (64%) categorized the majority of making animal feed, 9 respondents (14%) categorized a small portion sold and 14 respondents (22%) categorized a small throw to river. At this stage of inoculation were 24 respondents (38%) categorized almost half to make animal feed, 4 respondents (6%) included in the category of a small portion sold and 36 respondents (56%) categorized most of the waste into a river. At the packing stage by 20 respondents (31%) categorized almost half recycle or reuse as wrapping tempeh, 4 respondents (6%) categorized a small portion sold and 40 respondents (63%) categorized most of the waste into a river. At this stage of incubation and fermentation of 13 respondents (20%) categorized small sebagiam make animal feed, 8 respondents (13%) categorized a small portion sold and 43 respondents (67%) categorized most of the waste into a river. Processing of solid waste into useful materials from the 64 respondents only 20 respondents (31%), which processed into useful materials are recycled or reused as wrapping Tempe berkatagori almost half and there's no manager that utilizes solid waste into compost and nata de soya. That is because people do not know how to use tempe solid waste not only benefits in economic terms but also in matters of health, especially prevention of diseases caused by environmental pollution. It is expected that the community can cultivate and make the solid waste as useful materials for controlled waste so that environmental health can be preserved.
