Pengetahuan Keluarga Tentang Pencegahan Dekubitus pada Pasien Bedrest di Ruang Imam Bonjol RSUD Kanjuruhan Kepanjen

  • Seeing the higher level of morbidity and mortality on bedrest patient, dekubitus can be said as a serious case. In the development countries, the percentage of dekubitus could be 11% and it is happened in the first two weeks on the treatment. Several researches shows that 3 - 10% patients who are being treated in the hospital have suffered dekubitus and there is 2.7% of opportunity to shape a new dekubitus, but those digits are going to increase upto 7.7 - 26.9%. Such this phenomenon is, actually, one of nurse's responsibilities which is to prevent dekubitus, and for reaching this purpose, tha family also has a role in treating their family member who has such disease. That is why, the family's knowledge of dekubitus prevention is also quiet important to be enclosed especially in managing their role in preventing the dekubitus. This research is purposed to identifying family's knowledge of dekubitus prevention on bedrest patient in Imam Bonjol Room of Kanjuruhan Hospital in Kepanjen which uses 36 respondents as sample and accidental sampling as its method. The kind of this research is descriptive research and it is using quetioner as the research instrument. Having checked the data and stated that it is appropriate to what is hoped during the research, the data are going to be pierced into frequency distribution table and be counted its percentage, and then the result is come into the standard chriteria of the research (good, sufficient, fairly, and bad). Based on the result of this research, it is found that the respondent who has a good knowledge is 38.9%, sufficient knowledge is 41.7%, fairly knowledge is 13.9%, and bad knowledge is 5.5%. As the conclusion, there are almost a half of all respondents who have a sufficient knowledge in preventing dekubitus on bedrest patient. This result is hoped to be able to give value information for the family and able to provide an accurate data for treatment in order to move up the optimalization of nursery service to bedrest patient with the intention that could prevent dekubitus and is able to have a right treatment.
