  • The increasing application of WMN technology in developed countries encourage researchers to conduct research using the protocol WMN. Research and implementation is being carried out by using 9 pieces nodes (3 access points and 6 laptops), with the Ubuntu Linux operating system and 10:10 as BATMAN as routing protocols. This study aimed to test the performance of WMN concept, namely as a technology that can connect many different wireless LAN domain to keep inter-connected on a very wide range of areas, and has a high mobility rate. The research was also to prove the BATMAN routing protocol, can be used as a protocol in WMN and easy to implement, as well as having good performance and reliable. Data collection techniques by using observation, field notes, documentation, and testing. Based on the analysis of implementation and testing, results from the analysis of latency, jitter, packet loss datagaram, bandwidth and throughput. Shows, that the BATMAN routing protocol that does not satisfy (with the average datagram packet loss and jitter reaches 58% 32 sec). But for the performance of CPU and memory workload, this protocol is highly reliable and efficient resources (CPU load and memory usage is relatively small).
