- MMS is picture messaging services in communication networks. The use of MMS will be easy for users to exchange information. Through MMS, someone will be able to send short messages in quick time, without being limited by distance or time. Thus, the current MMS became one of the methods of communication used by the people. However, in addition to easiness given, the MMS service is relatively expensive cost because the cost of sending MMS is calculated from the bulk size of picture messages sent, the greater the size of the image which is increasingly expensive and costs incurred. Image compression applications in MMS with Huffman codes is a process of image compression that is in the MMS. Image to be transmitted is compressed so that the first image size can be smaller. Thus the MMS sent will be more efficient and cost will be cheaper. After the SMS to, the decoding process is done so that messages can be read back.
