  • Delivery of short messages (instant messaging) is a form of direct communication between two or more users who use text that is typed (chat). The number of protocol usage as a means of delivery YMSG has used a variety of short message service protocol. Therefore, an encryption process is required to secure a text message that is sent. To do this protection is required an encryption process and the algorithm used is Blowfish. Blowfish is a symmetric key encryption algorithm with a length of 64 bit blocks are being developed to replace DES. Blowfish is a symmetric key algorithm, which means using the same key to encrypt and decrypt files. Blowfish is also a block cipher, which means that during the process of encryption and decryption, Blowfish will split the message into blocks of equal size length. The results of testing this software is the time required for encryption and decryption depend on the size of the message. The time needed to change at any time depending on memory performance and hardware that are used on the desktop.
