- The research aimed to find out employee competence, employee performance, and also significant influence between competence to employee performance and also to find out which variable has most significant influence at PT. PLN Malang Region. Data analysis technique used scale rate and multiple linear regression. The result found that employee competence at PT. PLN Malang Region, according to employee competence is high. It showed by the employee had orientation to achievement, care to service, had initiative, always look for information, had understanding, focused on service, able to assure and influence, had organization awareness, able to build relation, able to do self development, had leadership, able to cooperate, had leadership, able to make analytical thinking, had thinking concept and working professionally. Employee performance at PT PLN Malang Region was high, it based on details in work, neatness in doing work, quality of the work result according to employee standard, work-quantity according to target, work completion as time limit. Competence had significant influence to employee performance and processing competence variable and dominant influence to employee performance variable. According to the research, suggestion given are: it would be proper to develop skill to assure and influence other people, organization awareness, and building relationship with outside parties and internal company, also increasing employee skill and performance individually to get new knowledge by doing formal training or outbond.
