- Autism is a developmental disorder of brain function that includes the social, verbal communication and non-verbal communication, imagination, flexibility, scope of interests, cognition and attention. This is a disorder characterized by the development of delayed or abnormal social relationship and language. Symptoms of autism occur before the child reaches the age of years. Behavioral abnormalities can be seen from the child inability to relate to others. It?s like they live in a world of his own. The disorder is for the laity in this case parents, it is very difficult to note carefully whether their children suffered autism or not. An expert system is a system that is able to act as an expert in a particular field of science, researchers think to help the expert in the diagnosis of autistic disorder as early as possible. In this autism diagnosis expert system using Bayesian method are used to calculate the probability value of each existing symptoms of the disease is to determine the types autism disease. System the results show that the system is able to diagnose autism disease based on symptoms suffered by children. The diagnosis is accompanied with a probability value that indicates the level of truth of the diagnosis. In the application of this expert system to diagnose autism spectrum 5 types and 31 different symptoms. Input display symptoms of a check box that will be filled by the user according to the symptoms experienced.
