- One factor that caused working fatigue is the character of the job, that is job without variety activities (monotonic) and job with variety activities. Based on the characteristic of the job, particularly in a cigarette plant, monotonic work would include such a thing as cigarette roller, this is since cigarette roller used the same hand movements and had no variation in each and every day which might caused boredom or tired and affecting the working fatigue. It iscategorized differently with other worker who works in other part of the plant which is considered to be non monotonic job. According the phenomenon above, author is interested to conduct a study about “Differences Working Fatigue between Monotonic Worker and Non Monotonic Worker.” Objective of this study is to found out the differences of working fatigue between monotonic worker and non monotonic worker. Subject of this study is 80 employees of PT. HF Prima consist of 40 monotonic workers and 40 non monotonic workers. This study is using non experimental design. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Analysis result showed that t=3.292; p=0.001 which means that there are significant differences in working fatigue between monotonic worker and non monotonic worker. Average score on working fatigue for monotonic worker is 100,65 and average score on working fatigue for non monotonic worker is 94,08. This means that monotonic worker had high working fatigue and in contrast, non monotonic worker had lower working fatigued. Hence, hypothesis in this study is, therefore, accepted.
