Children play are two worlds that almost inseperable. Playing has a big role in achieving children development on physic, emotion, intelectual, creativity and social. Parent knowledge, especially mother on playing concept that appropriate wiah development level on children age is really needed, The fact is there is no balance between active and pasive playing. Therefore writer interesting to conduct a research this entitle. The aim of this research is to find out about playing concept on children age 1-3 years old. From this research is expected to give benefit especially for mother to add knowledge about the important of playing to a child development. The research design used is descriptif. The sample taken are all population, the number are 30 respondent. The data conection method is quesionare. From this research result and data interpretation the average result for level C1 76,39%) with good category, level C2 (65,83%) with sufficient category, and level C3 (82,4%) with very good category. So can be known that the average level of mother knowledge about playing concept is 78,33 % is in good category. Based on the result of this research , so in the futur a mother is expected not to restrain her children to play but facilitating him or her according to the children age. And for the officer who are responsible in handling health are expectad to give more information about playing the importance for child 1-3 years old
