- The purpose of this research are: (1) to determine the acceptation process, and (2) the claim settlement process of fire at PT. Jasindo Malang. Research method used was a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The primary data that is used is in the form of observations and interviews. Secondary data were sourced from the documents of PT. Jasindo Malang branch and the previous research. The results of this study are briefly as follows: (1) fire insurance acceptances process runs smoothly when the participants know how to do so, that is to fill the SPPA and complete the document until receipt of the policy. (2) Filing a claim by the insured must be in accordance to the procedures specified by the PT. Jasindo Malang branch, compensation may be paid in cash and repair the damage machinery and buildings. Compensation payment is no later than 30 days after the agreement. The claim is accepted if it meets the requirements in accordance to the claims procedure of PT. Jasindo Malang branch. And the claim is rejected if the nature of loss is not guaranteed by the policy and does not meet the requirements and documents required by the insurer. Conclusions from the study are: (1) the process of acceptation at PT. Jasindo Malang is easy enough, the process is not complicated so it does not make it difficult for the prospective insured. (2) By differentiating fire insurance claim settlement process, PT. Jasindo Malang branch will allow the insured the payment of compensation. The insured must understand the content of the policy and not all claims can be received and paid by the insurer.
