  • Responsibility of the leader to manage an organization is very important in the organization. Besides, communication happens is early process in order to communication can run well. So that, communication was conducted by a leader is able to hold important rule, because communication was conducted by a leader can influence the success in increasing job motivation of his employees. Besides giving instruction, guidelines and guidance, a leader has job to communicate all organization policy and is able to communicate effectively, so that deliver message can be received, understood and comprehend. Based on that background, the problem in this research is “Is there the leadership communication effect toward job motivation of employee? And if there, how far the leadership communication effect toward job motivation of employee? This research type is associative explanative research. The basic of this research is survey. Population of these researched are employees of public relation division local government of Malang Regency amount 27 people. Sample technique used in this research is total sampling. Data collection technique uses questioner and documentation. The analysis technique uses simple linear regression formula. The research result indicated Y = 15,656 + 0,550 X. This shows that leadership communication has positive effect toward job motivation. Based on coefficient of determination that is leadership communication with job motivation with r value (correlation coefficient) of 0.675 or 67,5%. This correlation value indicates that relation between leadership communication and job motivation includes strong or high category.
