- Physical defect carrier was often seen as un-productive citizen, un-efficient, and un-effective. People often gave negative label by consider those individuals as individuals who couldn’t give positive contribution to their neighbourhood. This condition would affect the determination given to the individual to their life, tend to psychological well being of those physical defect, especially for them who was on middle-adult to develop generativity or stagnation. Psychological well being is a condition where individual able to accept himself/herself just the way it was, develop a warm relationship, develop autonomy in social pressure, able to control external environment, have meaning in life also able to concrete their self-potential in continuous way. The research aimed to give description of psychological well being to the physical defect of middle-adult person. The research was qualitative. Data collected according to explanation which was given by the research subject about self-evaluation in life. Then there did data reduction to separate data according to research goal. Data analysis technique used was by developing descriptive data from observation and interview continued with case description building according to the theory proportion which could be seen from the research questions continued with the case analysis. The research showed that individual with psychological well being would have positive attitude in accepting physical condition, open to every experience, have warm and satisfying relationship with anybody, have autonomy, get involve with his/her environment, and have a goal and wish to develop his/her potential. The condition was influenced by the light scale of defection, age of defection which was received in his/her early life, supports from family and openness in environment, socio-economic status showed by occupation and religious attitude.
