- PT. Sumber Alfaria Trijaya is a company that specializes in the distribution. One of the problems faced by these companies is a long lead time for delivery of goods. Long lead time is caused in shipping activities are activities that are waste. The main purpose of this research is to provide the proposed revisions to the distribution system at the company, so as to reduce the waste that causes long lead times. By using the concept of Lean Distribution will be focused on eliminating waste and streamlining processes that do not provide value-added (non-value adding). Stages of this research is the first study to find out the real situation in the company and perform data collection, and to identify the problem. After that make big picture mapping for the entire distribution system, and to identify waste. To determine the problems which affect, use VALSAT to select the appropriate tool to help find critical to quality of such waste. In the analysis stage and the proposed improvements, then use 5W-1H concept to assist in determining the proposed improvement alternatives will be given. From data-processing stage we know that the critical waste which occurs in the company is waiting and transportation. For the proposed improvement to waiting is to use integrated software to perform inspection operations in a computerized stock availability. So as to minimize the time the validation process long enough. Proposed revisions to the transportation is by making the scheduling of delivery routes. Expected with the scheduling of delivery routes will be able to reduce service failures due to delays in shipments. By reducing waste are expected to be critical to create a distribution system more effective, more streamlined, with better perfomance (stream line).
