  • Background: Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a public health problem in Indonesia, and also in the of Malang dengue hemorrhagic fever is still a major public health problem. Malang city health department has been undertaking various effort to control dengue hemorrhagic fever, among others: abatisation, the movement to eradicate mosquito breeding, formation cadre jumantik and implementation fogging focus. This study aimed to investigate the influence of knowledge, awareness, and public to ward the prevalence of dengue hemorrhagic fever and to investigate the dominant factor of the three sub-variables. Methods: This research uses descriptive analytical method which is comparatively. The sample in this research is use total sampling that is under the following criteria: (1) Head of family or one family member who had family members suffering from dengue hemorrhagic fever . (2) Still live in village Bunulrejo, Blimbing district. (3) Can read and write. (4) Willing to become respondents. Results: The three independent variable of knowledge, awareness, and attitudes conducted logistic regression analysis obtained the following values: wald value of knowledge= 4,909 wald valve of awareness= 8,382 and Wald valve of attitudes= 4,399. Conclusion: Knowledge, awareness and attitudes significantly influence the prevalence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in the village of Bunulrejo, Blimbing district, of the three variables, the awareness variable is dominant factor. In the dengue hemorrhagic fever disease control must include the factors of knowledge, awareness, and the public attitudes.
