  • Indonesia is country which famous with the various forms of culture continues to be maintained by each community. Same as to Kapong village who maintain the ritual offerings in every activity of life such as in the business world. Basically the business world is to see how far the businessmen can sustain its business to stay and keep going. For this reason, Kapong village have a habit of doing the ritual offerings in business to sustain its business. Based on the above phenomenon, the researcher is interested in doing research about “the meaning of ritual offerings for businessmen in rural districts at Kapong Village, Batu Marmar,Pamekasan". Type of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this research observation, interviews (unstructured), and documentation. Purposive sampling is used by the researcher as technique of determining the informant. Analysis of descriptive is used to reflect the uniqueness of the communities studied phenomenon. Custom made by business people in doing these ritual offerings in the analysis using symbolic interaction theory belongs to George Hebert Mead, that there are three important elements in symbolic interaction include Mind,Self, and Society which will affect a person's act and its interactions. The results of the research to get the meaning of ritual offerings for businesses people,namely,1) the ritual offerings as mediator of wish and expectations,2) ritual offering relaxing mind ,3) ritual offerings as a mediator to sells well, 4) ritual offerings as form to continue an central habits. Those are the result of interaction of business people with a community and form those meaning. Habits of the people who believe in the usefulness of offerings affect individual members of society that are run either together or individually.
