- Everyday, Computer Science majors perform administrative activities manually using the forms available. It sometimes causes the information to be overlooked by most students. To solve it, then be made to an information service using a SMS facility. Assuming that the average student has a cell phone and SMS facility can be used in almost all regions during the coveraged by provider communication, and therefore become an alternative means of SMS to deliver information quickly and effectively. Programming done using PHP 5.2.8, MySQL 5.1.30 database server, and Apache web server. Hardware used for SMS Mobile GSM Siemens C55 and for the SMS gateway is used Gammu 1:09. Conclusions from the results of the test system implementation and testing, we can conclude that both systems services department information SMS information service, website administrators and members work in accordance with the expected. The use of SMS for information services allow students to get information quickly and easily, whenever and wherever needed.
