- Internet development is now very fast, and bandwidth as a measure of the amount of information that can flow is an important part that can not be separated. Bandwidth management, a term used as an appropriate allocation of a bandwidth to support the needs or purpose of the application or a network service. Squid as a proxy server is one of the best applications currently have a good bandwidth management capabilities. In making final bandwidth management applications using Macromedia Flash which is located on the side of the PDA as an interface of applications and server-side programming language PHP as a programming language to configure squid proxy server. Final project that has been done is to discuss the handling of squid as a bandwidth manager by using mobile technology from a PDA, using a PDA with the communication capabilities of the server computer via a wireless network. In its application, flash interface that is placed on the PDA requests a URL to run and execute PHP. Once the PHP to do its function and produce output, the output is sent to the flash application. Output flash applications received will determine what will be done next. Until finally squid as the bandwidth manager can be configured from outside the server using mobile technology, and helped the performance of a network administrator to perform the reconfiguration of the Squid proxy server on the network.
