  • The more demand for the availability of tofu, the more factories begin to appear. One of the areas that I have encountered there are some plants in Gondang Legi Malang. In Gondang Legi especially in Putat Kidul there is only 1 plant out of 8 plants that use steam boilers. Therefore need to be given a touch of boiler technology. This planing is intended to get the design and dimensions of boiler, and to know the amount of fuel required by the boiler. The calculation of the dimensions from the boiler components, sketching, and to get the right value of boiler efficiency. This design use LPG gas as a fuel, with content of H ( Hydrogen ) 17.12 % and C (Carbon) 79.88 % and the other content heavy hydrocarbon gases. Fuel demand is 16.9896 kg / hour. With HHV value 12373.7221 Kcal / kg and LHV 11486.4410 Kcal / kg. Heat generated by the boiler supplied by the combustion of fuel and air for 209,316.2448 Kcal / hr. From boiler dimensions height planned is 1.5 m and depth diameter is 0.8 m which use materials DIN 13 - Cr - Mo - 44 are thickness eligible from the possibility of breaking up and split drum by 0.03 m. The number of pipes are 9 pipes which use St 35.8 material and chimney height is 2 m diameter of 0.16 m, produce 75% boiler efficiency.
