- Indonesia formerly known as agricultural country a little fade over the shift of agrarian society, however hail doesn?t occur in the community in the village Ngadisari, that was the reason of researchers chose Ngadisari Village as the location of study. Ngadisari Village is one of the areas in East Java which has a dominant agricultural, the livehoods of farming with the percentage of 85%. The majority of village residents rely on agriculture Ngadisari. This is interesting, that in the current industrialization they still survive by working on the field as they attempt to satisfy the necessities of life. In the farming of course the farmers need capital. Capital not just talk about financial as a business capital, but also the knowledge capital and social capital. Social capital has a lot of things that can be explored and realized in various activities. Based on the above phenomena, so there are some things are interesting to study about "Social Capital In Farmers Society (Studies in Social Capital Optimization Farmer Farm Village Ngadisari Sukapura Probolinggo district) This aims study to find about forms of social capital is owned by farmers in Ngadisari village and benefits of social capital in order to optimize the agricultural business. Data collection techniques is using observation, interviews and documentation. While the qualitative data analysis using descriptive as many people were taken using purposive sampling. The analyzing problem used social capital theory of Robert David Putnam taken from the Robert MZ. Lawang?s literature, that there are three important elements of social capital such as trust, social networks and norms. Results showed that social capital farmers?s are three forms of social capital there are trust 1) purchase of seed plants 2) trust between the farmers to cooperate in terms of capital. The network owned by the farmers there are 1) farmers made a farm group "Puji Makmur" 2) Farmers with agricultural laborers 3) Farmers with CU. Sawiran 5) farmers by middlemen. Norms owned by farmers are 1) value that is hereditary utilize dung for manure 2) Processing of soil (nyuklak) 3) The rules in lending money at CU. Sawiran. Social capital is owned by farmers in the village of Ngadisari benefit the sustainability of farming. The contribution of social capital that can be given to the optimization of farming of course affect the outcome of the farm.
