- Agroforestry is a land use system, which is implemented in a planned manner with a land unit combines woody plants (trees, shrubs, palms, etc..) With agricultural crops and / or animals and / or fish, which is done at the same time or take turns. Food security geared towards food self-sufficiency to sustain the strength of the domestic economy so as to provide sufficient food for the entire population in a sustainable manner, especially from domestic production, in quantity and diversity of sufficient, safe and affordable over time. This study aims to assess the agroforestry systems and household food security in the village of Tawang Argo pesanggem District Karangploso BKPH Singosari KPH Malang. Knowing the relationship between agroforestry and household food security. The research was conducted in the village of Tawang district Argo Karangploso BKPH Singosari KPH Malang in May-June 2013. Data obtained from primary data and secondary data. Analysis of the data using simple regression method with the help of SPSS softwere 2.1 for Windows. Research has been done that level of energy sufficiency farmer respondents varies, based on the data processed in this study, where there are 5 people (17%) of respondents were farmers included in the category of severe deficits (<70% RDA), and there were 15 people (50% ) farmer respondents were included in the category of moderate deficit (70-79% RDA), and there were 10 people (33%) of respondents were classified as farmers normal (90-119% RDA). More than half (76%) or 23 respondents are food secure households. Some 10 per cent or 3 respondents are household food insecurity light, 7 percent were food insecure households are, and the remaining 7 percent of household food insecurity is severe. Based on a simple regression analysis, where the income of the respondent households had a significant linear relationship because the value of the ANOVA was significant at 0.00 <0.05 and have a good regression models with a regression formula Y (food security) = 49.026 + 9.526 X (production / revenue). Conclusions derived from this study that the agroforestry system developed in the Village District Karangploso Argo Tawanga the advantages and benefits for pesanggem and forestry. So that agroforestry systems affect the household food security of farmers.
