  • The observation on engine performance by using fuel composition of pure biodiesel is to understand the characteristic diesel engine caused by biodiesel and diesel oil mixer. The testing is conducted on stationary rotation of 2000 rpm with the mixture of biodiesel fuel (b5) and pure castor oil with concentration variances resulted. This study to provide a solution to increase the types of fuel that can be used as a substitute for diesel fuel or fossil fuel. It is stored in sampling bottle and labeled based on the percentage mixture, biodiesel (b5) pure, biodiesel (b5) + castor oil (3$), biodiesel (b5) + castor oil (5%) biodiesel (b5) + castor oil (8%), biodiesel (b5) + castor oil (10%), biodiesel (b5) + castor oil (13%), biodiesel (b5) + castor oil (15%). Force resulted uses dynamometer and this experiment focused on fuel testing. The result are leakage 0.93% by decreasing force of 1% approximately, and the next leakage and decreasing force occurs in all fuel, the tested percentages are 1.02045%, 1.02083%, 1.0212%, 1.0217%, 1.0222% and decreasing force of 0.93%, 1.001%, 1.011%, 1.000%, 1.01247%, and 1.00128%.
