- Dorce Show gives insight more than just an entertainment; because it presents knowledge from many fields that are analyzed in details by representing the experts, such as lawyer, singer, athletes, artists, doctors, and entertainers. With the very funny and has wide-range knowledge presenter, Dorce Gamalama, it makes the program differ from the other. The researcher is interested to study Dorce Show program, because it differ from another Talk Show program start from its program package to the controversial presenter that is Dorce Gamalama, who is transsexual person. Besides, Dorce Show becomes one of superior programs in Trans TV. Theory of S-O-R (Stimulus-Organism-Respond) stated by Berger and Lambert in Effendy’s book, that the arisen respond (effect, reaction) is a special reaction to special stimulus, so that one can expect and estimate the congruity between message and communicants’ reaction. Thus, elements included in this model are messages (Stimulus, S), communicant (Organism), and effect (Respond, R). Purpose of this research is to know the reaction of housewives in connection with Audio-Visual Program of Dorce Show. This research uses qualitative approach, because it has meant to explain a phenomenon as deep as possible through profusely data collecting. It uses descriptive analysis method that describes in detail the obtained data and information related to the studied problems, in this case is describing housewives’ respond to Dorce Show program. It can be drawn a conclusion that television audiences, Dorce Show program’s audience, are not only showing the importance of the media. Here, it is represented by television that satisfies housewives’ needs of entertainment and information. Where, it is very substantial for their daily interaction.
