- Learning media can assist in achieving the success of education and learning process in the school. There are various learning media that can be used by the teacher, one of them is board plot media. Board plot media is a media that can be used to facilitate the students easily in understanding process, particularly material of square and rectangular area in third grade of SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu. This research aims to (1) describe the learning outcomes of third grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu on learning concept of square and rectangular area using the board plot media, (2) describe the response of the third grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu with the use of the board plot media on square and rectangular area. The research will be implementing on October 8th to 17th 2013 on third grade odd semester of SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu 2013 - 2014. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, because the resulting data is a description of the words and describe the results obtained from the study conducted in SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu. The research showed that: (1) student learning outcomes in the application of board plot media classically plot of 85.19 %, can be interpreted classical completeness has been reached that is greater than or equal to 75 %, (2) the percentage of student responses at 83.18 % categorized as very positive, it means that the students have good responses to learning by applying board plot media.
