- The drying process is naturally necessary to preserve lorjuk (bamboo clams) has several shortcomings such as time, need some time reversal process, highly dependent on the weather and less hygienic. Therefore, the system is designed electrically heated air as a heat source. Dryer system that is designed for a capacity of 10 kg has components: the heating source, a fan to move the air and water vapor into the environment. To dry 10 kg lorjuk (bamboo clams) from 80% moisture content (wet basis) to 10% (dry basis) of 2.605 kWatt power required by the planned time for 2 hours and the dimensions of the room air 1m x 0.9 m x 1.1 m . From the tests performed on the model with a capacity of 0.5 kg, to reduce the water content lorjuk of 80% (wet basis) to 10% (dry basis) used dimensional tool 0.65 m x 0.35 m x 0.5 m, with 4 incandescent bulbs of 100 watts each takes 2.5 hours.
