- Economizer is a cross-flow heat exchanger (counter flow) increasing the water temperature before filling the boiler into a boiler drum. The benefits that can be taken apart to maintain the durability of the drum is the drum to prevent wrinkle due to differences in temperature, as well as saving fuel usage. By utilizing the gas fumes that still have a high temperature to heat the water before getting into the boiler drum, means it will increase the efficiency of the boiler, as it can reduce heat loss suffered by the boiler. The amount of heat required ekonomiser amounted to 20,059,200 kj / jam. Area of flow in the pipe: 1.31 x 10-3 m2, flow velocity in the pipe: 0.575 m/sec, the heat transfer coefficient inside the pipe: 3234.8 W / m.oK. Extensive flow outside the pipe: 284.3 m2, outside the pipe flow speed : 5.9 m/sec, the heat transfer coefficient outside the pipe: 42.5 W / mok. Great average temperature difference (LMTD): 279.9 OC, overall heat transfer coefficient: 41.8 W/m2 OK.
