- Talking flags co-operative learning model modifies talking chips co-operative learning model.” Talking flags” requires each student to hold 5 flags. Then, every member of the group is asked to say something alternatively in clockwise pattern. They could ask, answer, or give their own opinions. Every time they talk, one flag will be placed on a steroform. If there are some questions that remain unanswered, the procedure will be restarted. The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the application of talking-flags co-operative learning model for mathematics subject at Mts Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, (2) to describe students’ learning activities in mathematics class which applies talking-flags model, (3) to know students’ mathematics achievement after talking-flags model is applied. This study shows that learning application improves in aspect of teaching and students’ activity. In first, second, and third meetings, students’ activeness percentage rise up 93,54%, 96,31%, and 97,92%. The last data, which are studentsÂ’ final result, shows 80% of learning mastery.
