- CV. SSA Plastic Gadang is a company concerned about the quality of the production process to produce products such as plastic balls. But in its application the percentage of disability ball is still quite high. From this condition, we need a method to design and analyze their needs. Design For Six Sigma through the 5 stages of operations, DMADV (Define - Measurements - Analyze - Design - Verify), is expected to provide the design of the production process as well as the right solution so that there is a decrease product defects and may increase production output. In the Define phase has been known process that has the highest rate of disability is the process of giving the ball air which analyzed the main cause of failure is the lack of air pressure control device. Based on the results of the analysis performed on the stage of design QFD process to determine the stability of a standard size in the incoming air in the ball so as to reduce the percentage of defective balls. From the processing of the data obtained after the percentage of defective balls Design For Six Sigma 3.38%, it decrease 1.27% ball disabilities. For a value DPMO of 16900 decrease 6350 possibility defects in 1.000.000 product while in sigma level of the number 3,748 increase level by the number 0,257 sigma level.
