- Shuttlecock manufacturing production process consists of several stages of the process, one of which is the process of drilling shuttlecock head. In this process, the operator often ineffective movement, when the operator took the head shuttlecock from the floor. So the operator to move repeatedly bent over. This is why operators often experience pain in the limbs, such as the neck, waist, arms, hands and back. The purpose of this research is to design a work tool based on the concept of ergonomics, in order to alleviate pain in the carrier so as to increase production drilling shuttlecock head. The method used in this design is the concept anthopometri (measurement of body dimensions operator) and continued with the concept of percentile election. This is because the concept chosen percentile impractical to design for the whole population. After that work tool is made to apply to the operator. Further distribution of questionnaires containing about assessment work tool. Statistical test, the t test, performed to calculate the difference in productivity. From the results of distribution of questionnaires to the respondents, information was obtained that before any work tool. 100% of respondents experiencing pain in the waist. Once the tool, 55% of respondents did not experience pain and 45% of respondents experiencing tingling. From the statistical test obtained from the calculation results that tcalculation SPSS output = 9.049. With a significance level (α) of 5% with df (degrees of freedom) = n-1 = 20-1 = 19, then obtained TTable = ± 2.09. Since tcalculation not be between ± TTable then H0 is rejected, which means the use of ergonomic design to improve productivity of the operator. For the company should provide office chair (the tools) are provided for the operator. Because with good facilities then the operator would feel more comfortable at work and productivity can be increased.
