Hence, it is need for the application of learning models that sharpen the ability to communicate either orally or written which is the Problem posing, where students are required to make the matter according to what they understand so that students are trained for initial step forward the ideas that exist on students have been met. Research purposes are to describe the implementation of problem posing learning approaches, describe the activity and the ability of students in learning mathematics using posing problem communication approach.
This study uses qualitative approach, which is use experiment research that requires three meetings. The samples were 27 students of class VII-A SMPN1 Sukapura 2012-2013 school years. This study was conducted on 11 to 18 May 2013. Methods of data collection in this study carried out using the method of observation and tests.
The results showed that: 1) learning math using problem posing approach has been successfully growing mathematical communication skills of students in participating math, students in the learning process has begun brave and motivated to express their opinions, ask questions, derived the ideas from himself 2) most students take an active role in the learning process to formulate questions although not all students are proficient in formulating the questions.
