- The research purpose is to determine of student interaction in the group that occurs in cooperative learning math and thoroughness of students after making interaction with the group. This study is qualitative and descriptive research instruments used in collecting the data is observed student activity sheets and test results to learn. Subjects were students in grade VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang 12 people consisting of students who are heterogeneous both sexes and ability levels. Based on the results obtained for the interaction in which the activity of asking questions of friends in the group is more often done by students with low ability and being. For the activity to answer questions from friends in the group is more often done by students with moderate and high ability. Brainstorm for activities with friends in the group is often done by students with the ability of being - being and medium - high. Then for the final test results of students gained an average of 77.78% completeness at the first meeting, the average completeness of 84.72% at the second meeting, and the average completeness of 73.61% at the third meeting. Based on the average of these means that the third meeting has not been achieved in solving the matter of completeness. Exhaustiveness individuals most students have achieved completeness in the second meeting, while the first and third meeting only 50% of students who can reach the exhaustiveness. Alternative solutions should be able to do well in order to monitor the interactions that occur between students more focused.
